Sharon qualifed with the firm in 1989 and has specialised in property matters and related transactions ever since. Sharon has extensive experience in investment portfolio acquisitions and disposals as well as dealing with the ongoing management issues that arise. David Williams Head of the Corporate Department (Lichfield) David was formerly a partner with Pinsents and with Gateley Wareing. David specialises in mergers and acquisitions – including buy-outs and corporate finance (having acted for various banks, including HBoS). David Kaplan Head of the Corporate Department (Derby) David joined Keelys in July of 2008 to set up our Derby office which was formally opened on 29 September 2008. He is the lead partner of our Derby office and is joint head of Corporate Services with David Williams. David specialises in all areas of corporate law with a specific emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and banking and finance. David has extensive experience advising clients ranging from multi-national conglomerates, large corporate, financial institutions, entrepreneurs and owner managed businesses. Simon Murray Head of Costs Department Simon has been in the costs industry for over 15 years. He started his own legal costs consultancy in 1994, which he built in to a substantial operation, specialising in acting for paying parties. In 2004 Simon went in to partnership with Keelys Solicitors, resulting a business dealing with legal costs from cradle to grave. Professionally, he advises and attends detailed assessment hearings in a wide variety of cases of all values, up to high seven figure costs claims, including a number of reported cases. Simon is a monthly contributor to the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen Journal, and has been an Associate of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen since 1996. Paul Roberts Head of Employment Department Paul trained and qualifed with Pinsents before working with Anthony Collins and Heatons. He acts for a range of clients including large commercial groups, housing associations, church denominations and senior executives. Michael Phillips Head of Dispute Resolution & Litigation Michael joined Keelys having worked at Freshfelds and Eversheds. He heads the Dispute Resolution team and handles employment claims in the County Court and High Court. He is also experienced in dealing with litigation arising from restrictive covenants. Trevor Wright Head of Licensing, Matrimonial & Family Trevor has over 25 years’ experience in Private Client matters and has specialised in Family and Matrimonial matters including divorce, pre-nuptial and co-habitation agreements and children issues for most of his legal career. Eamonn Clifford Head of Personal Injury Eamonn joined Keelys LLP in 2007. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 2003 having previously qualified as a Fellow of The Institute of Legal Executives. He started out in general practice before joining a niche personal injury firm in Central London. He now has over 20 years experience and has dealt with a wide variety of cases including accidents at work , slips and trips and has particular expertise in motor accident claims where he has for many years acted for compensating insurers as well as claimants. Andrew Milne Head of Residential Conveyancing Andrew has a wealth of experience in this feld acting for both private and commercial clients. Qualifying as a solicitor in 1995, Andrew has spent his career in private practices in Staffordshire and the West Midlands. He manages the Residential Property team as well as acting himself on all Conveyancing matters including sales and purchases, lease extentions, deeds of gift, buy-to-let, purchase of freeholds and shared ownerships. Rebecca Head Head of Trusts & Probate Rebecca trained and qualifed in the West Midlands and joined Keelys in 2006. Rebecca specialises in the preparation of Wills, elderly client issues, inheritance tax planning, the creation and the administration of trusts and administration of estates.
