Tuesday 28 February 2017 saw members of staff from Keelys LLP take part in the annual Lichfield Shrovetide Pancake Race.
The Shrovetide Race is an historic feature of Lichfield’s social calendar and involves members of the public and businesses sprinting along Bore Street in the City whilst tossing pancakes. This year’s intrepid team of sprinters was made up of (left to right) Sammie Manford, Jayne Whitehouse, Sharon Lawrence, Tania Golding and Andrew McManus (not pictured, Tom Parkes and Paul Roberts).
Unfortunately none of the sprinters could win their respective races, although Tom Parkes was narrowly beaten in the final of the men’s race. Despite the cold weather and the lack of success, a great time was had by all of the team and they will be back next year to contest the annual event, assuming of course they have not eaten too many pancakes in the interim!
