This year, St Giles Hospice again hosted the Solstice Walk to raise money for their fantastic cause. However, this year had a little bit of a twist, they were attempting to break the world record for the largest gathering of fairies in one place. 871 women were dressed as fairies donning tutus, fairy wings and wands to take part in this special event. It will be a number of weeks before the official result of the record breaking attempt is revealed but the previous record was 786 fairies so fingers crossed for St Giles!
The Keelys team, Loretta Hales, Tania Golding, Linda Allen, Dominique Appleby-Freeth, Sally Beale, Christine Phoenix and Debbie Wellcomme all took part, along with hundreds of women, to walk 9 miles in total around the scenic Lichfield City on Saturday night from 10pm.
There was a fantastic atmosphere with a powerful message. Keelys are proud to say that St Giles Hospice is their nominated charity. Later in the year Erica Burt-Moore (associate partner Wills and Probate) is taking part in the St Giles trek to Vietnam to raise further funds for this very important charity.
We are offering free employment law updates at our Lichfield office. They will cover recent cases on unfair dismissal, discrimination and TUPE and also the imminent introduction of fees to bring employment tribunal claims and other major changes to employment tribunal procedures.
