Keelys Cycle Networking

We have launched a new cycle networking event.  On the last Friday of each month, we meet at 1pm at the Plough at Huddlesford, ride about 30 miles and then meet back at the Plough for a well-earned drink (and possibly some cake!).  Everyone is welcome so, if you would like to join us, please email

Keelys welcomes local lady Sian on board

We at Keelys Solicitors are delighted to welcome a local Staffordshire girl, Sian Peverill, who has taken up a post as part of the corporate team.

Living not so far away in Uttoxeter, and originally heralding from the Staffordshire and Derbyshire border, Sian had worked for a law firm in Stoke-on-Trent, prior to arriving at our headquarters.

For Sian it is more of a welcome back as she had a work experience placement here some years ago.

She studied law at the University of Sheffield and also did her legal practice studies there before starting her legal career at Staffordshire County Council, and then moving to a practice in the Potteries, where she gained experience in commercial law.

With an impressive background in contracts at Staffordshire County Council and strong experience in corporate & commercial work, Sian, who recently qualified as a solicitor is ideally placed to join our team.

It’s certainly all change for Sian too as she got married in the summer and went on an amazing honeymoon to Mauritius as well.

Away from work, she enjoys yoga, fitness classes and photography and also admits to enjoying a bit of creative baking!

Like all Keelys’ staff, she has a great approach to her work and is a very welcome addition, we wish her every success.

Keelys proud as Jayne’s marathon challenge reaches its finale

Throughout the past year we at Keelys have been rooting for our own Jayne Whitehouse who set the challenge to take on 10 marathons to help fund research into type one diabetes.

Jayne Whitehouse is hoping with one last push to raise over £3,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation” (JDRF), which is a charity researching to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.

Her daughter Faith, aged 13, has had the condition since she was an infant, prompting Jayne, who is a legal secretary with us to embark on her goal, which she has labelled the 10 for 10 challenge.

With such an incredibly diverse year of weather, Arctic winter temperatures and the sunniest and hottest summer in many people’s living memories , it’s tested every ounce of Jayne’s resolve.

Through it all we at Keelys have cheered Jayne on as she has kept to a strict fitness regime.

Now she has the final hurdle of the Leicester marathon on October 14, before she can finally take things a little easier.

It is fair to say Jayne’s trials and tribulations through this challenge has been something we at Keelys have followed avidly and we really hope she can raise the extra money to meet this target for such a great cause
