Paul Roberts, Head of the Employment Law department at Keelys, will outline what the law requires when investigating employee misconduct, including:
(i) What you need to do to avoid claims for unfair dismissal.
(ii) What evidence you can rely on in an employment tribunal.
(iii) How convinced you have to be of an employee’s guilt.
David Kearns, MD of Expert Investigations, will then offer practical guidance including:
(i) Methods and reasons for employee theft and fraud
(ii) Techniques & equipment for investigations, such as surveillance, observations, covert vehicle tracking and interviewing
(iii) Benefits of Computer data retrieval
(iv) Case studies, including video footage of employees who were “caught in the act”
The seminar will take place at Keelys’ offices at 28 Dam Street, Lichfield on Wednesday 21 May from 9.30 – 12.
