Gritstone Trail walk for Stafford Together
Keelys’ Patrick Farrington joined a group of walkers including former MP for Stafford Jeremy Lefoy, to take on the 33 miles mile of the Gritstone Trail. The walk was in aid of community fund Stafford Together.
The Trail runs from South Manchester to Mow Cop on the Cheshire / Staffordshire border. The walk was completed in two stages. The first walking day being Saturday 12th August, the hottest day of the year, with the second stage being completed in cooler temperatures in October.
On completing the walk Patrick said: “The first day was undertaken in temperatures in their mid-30s, so I was pleased to get through the day and really enjoyed the final two days, which were undertaken in more sensible conditions! I am grateful for the financial support of Keelys in helping provide valuable funding into Stafford’s voluntary sector, at what is a difficult time for many.”
So far, the group have raised £1000.
